2018 was an epic year for Make it Mariko for many reasons. First off, it was my first year going FULL TIME with Make it Mariko. Yup, it was only this past February that I quit Google X and took the leap to focus on my business. It feels like it’s been 2 years though! We did so much this year. Since quitting, Make it Mariko has been thriving and expanding our reach in the community, and we’re so thankful!

In 2018 we produced a total of 30 events!
  • 9 Weddings
  • 12 Nonprofit/Community events
  • 1 Political event
  • 6 Corporate events
  • 2 Consulting clients
This year we also added many services to our event portfolio:
  1. Venue/Event Consulting — We were so excited to partner with our first consulting clients: Colorbloq & Alexandria Real Estate to help them rethink their venues and create event programming to fit their unique needs.
  2. Corporate Events — We planned awesome and impactful corporate events for VCs, Google, and X, and are excited to partner with even more corporate groups in 2019.
We also helped Bay Area nonprofits raise over $610,000!
