Once Shelter in Place was called in San Francisco, we immediately started researching, doing demos with, and finding all the best virtual event hubs to help our clients transition their events to the virtual space. Hopin was our top contender, and we’ve produced many events on the platform since March 2020!

Create a Branded “Digital Curtain”

Hopin has an awesome “Backstage” feature built in to their system that allows event managers to prep speakers backstage, then broadcast to the audience when ready. In between sessions you see this “coming next” screen below. As of now, you have to choose between using the Backstage feature and sharing slides — you can’t do both at the same time. So we saw a big opportunity to create engagement with breaks.

In partnership with our Digital Event Partners, AddVirtual, we utilize a curated mix of MUSIC, MEDIA, and MOVEMENT (aka virtual experience curation and a smooth Run of Show flow) to create an engaging and exciting virtual event for your attendees.

Instead of a static screen, we turn conference breaks into a Virtual Party! Where the chat box is alive, engagement is happening, and energy is being built. We also bring that same energy onto the Main Stage experience with fully custom branded RTMP shows.

Is music really that important? Is it worth the added cost? 

In short, YES. I can’t tell you how many clients have under-estimated the importance of live DJs and music, and then later realized how critical of a piece it was to bringing LIFE to their event. MUSIC IS ENERGY. It brings people to life. It inspires movement, inspiration, and passion. And if you still don’t believe me, here’s a bunch of comments from actual Hopin events where folks can speak for themselves 🙂

But music isn’t the only added benefit. We also provide the technical production assistance to make sure that the Main Stage is smooth, your speakers are prepped, and your event is engaging.
