The Event
Make It Mariko is a San Francisco-based event agency with a decade of community-centered, culture-driven experiences under its belt. For our 10-year anniversary, we wanted to do something big – not just to celebrate this important milestone, but also to honor the artists, vendors, collaborators, and community members who have been building with us for years.
Goals & Challenges
LOVE THY CITY was built to bring the SF creative entrepreneur community together, spotlight the local creatives and small businesses that keep San Francisco’s culture alive, and open the door to our next chapter with our nonprofit partners at Brave New Spaces.
This wasn’t just a party – it was a love letter to the city and the people who make it worth loving.
Bringing the Impact Community Together
WHAT WE DID:
As the Executive Producers of LOVE THY CITY, we handled all elements of event design, creative strategy, and vendor production for the event.
- Curated and managed 25+ local food, beverage, floral, and creative vendors from concept to execution
- Designed the full guest experience including activations, portrait studio, live art, and video storytelling
- Coordinated live performances, DJ sets, and stage programming hosted by SF talent
- Oversaw branding, signage, and environmental design at The Foundry SF
- Managed all operations, logistics, and run-of-show from load-in to close
- Directed fundraising activation benefiting Brave New Spaces, with proceeds from every cocktail sold donated to the nonprofit
