taking a leap
This December 30th, I’m excited to celebrate my “golden” 30th birthday. My life journey has taken me from SHCP Step Team, to UC Berkeley, to directing a 501c3 nonprofit organization, to working in after-school programs in Oakland/SF, to doing outreach & events at a literacy arts nonprofit, to working in Recruiting at Google, to program management & marketing events for Google[x].
As beautiful and comfortable as life can get, my heart is calling. And sometimes it calls you to do something completely different and pulls you out of your comfort zone. So I’m listening, and saying YES. With that said, I’m excited to introduce you to Make it Mariko, my new event production company that I’m officially launching this year!
And if that weren’t enough, I’m fortunate to be partnering with my cousin and amazing friend, Junalene Demavivas, to launch a new community venture which we’re naming Endeavors Collective, in honor of our inspirational grandma, Lola Betty.
Join us in welcoming our new endeavors to the world. It wouldn’t be a celebration without you.
