Funkanometry SF was an internationally recognized, award-winning professional dance companies in the Bay Area before they retired in 2011.
Founded in 2008 by Gina Rosales (Make it Mariko Founder) and Emerson Aquino, The Sockhop is an interactive community dance showcase that helps create stronger, more meaningful relationships between individual dancers and the arts community as a whole.
The Sockhop is an entire weekend of outreach events, including a Cast Welcome Dinner, tour of SF, community showcase, afterparty, and dance workshops featuring a diverse group of the best community-minded dance companies from all over the country.
Goals & Challenges
We did full service production for this org including branding, concepting, event production, vendor management, lighting and design.
